North Carolina Society of Cytology

The officers of the North Carolina Society of Cytology would like to thank you for attending the 2013 Annual Meeting. We had 3 schools of Cytotechnology attend as well as seasoned Cytotechnologists present to hear talks that ranged from molecular testing, pancreatic and salivary gland cytology, crowded groups in liquid based cytology and thyroid cytology. We also had fun with a new format that showed microscopic images of cases and we divided into 4 groups that reviewed criteria and voted on correct diagnosis.

We will be taking all suggestions into consideration as we plan next year’s meeting to make it even better than this year’s meeting. We hope to see you all next year and ask that you bring a friend to help support the continuing education of our profession. Thank you for your participation and keep in mind that next year we will be looking for a President-elect, a new secretary and a new treasurer.

On behalf of the NCSC Executive Committee, I would like to announce that our next Annual Meeting will be held April 5-6, 2013. More information will be forthcoming as we work to get details finalized. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. Also, please share with any and all colleagues who may be interested in attending. If you know of any new or former colleagues or students that were not included in this email, or whose email addresses may have changed, please let me know so we can add them to our distribution list. We look forward to seeing everyone in the spring!
